Character Creation Rules

  • No Cannon or Published Characters:
We of Naruto Forum Role-play wish to have Imagination, and because of that, we ask to please do not try to make any characters that are directly from Video Games, Movies, or Cartoons. If a character has been published, and you are not the creator of the published character do not make it for Naruto Forum Role-play. We do not wish to see Sasuke running around or Batman.

  • No Real Life Characters:
No Santa Claus, no Jesus, no Muhammad, no Ala. Certain Characters have certain standards. Please also this means no Musashi, no King Arthur, no Jim Bowie.

  • Acceptance of Basic Profiles:
Each profile will be examined by our staff members and it will only be accepted if three staff members approve of this. An Administrator or Headmod has the full authority to veto any Profile even if three moderators accept it. This is stated for only the Basic Profiles. Profiles that does not consist of a Cannon Bloodlimit.

  • Acceptance of Bloodlimit, Clan Profiles:
Any Profile that deals with Bloodlimits, Clans, or even has Fighting Styles, please looks through the Restrictions of each creation. Reasons why is because each has its own history, and or Restriction. Follow along with them because each Clan, Bloodlimit, and or Fighting style has a history that might need to be followed. This goes double for any Canon creation such as the Uchiha, and the Hyuuga.

  • Updating Profiles in Signatures:
Please keep a reminder of how many Training Points you may have within the Signature of your Profile. This is to keep track of how powerful your character may be, and help us from deciphering as to who may be cheating or not. Please do not try to cheat your Training Points because no matter what we somehow find out eventually and that can cause serious consequences.

How to Make a Character in Naruto Forum Role Play

There is a format used when creating a character. Do Not make a post and delete a previous post to make the template disappear for it gets a tad bit agitating if one does such a thing. We will start Getting up on People for this. You may have an unlimited amount of characters however, you must have only one account per character. The Template is a preset so there is no coding to mess with, just fill in the spaces. You are however allowed to do something else like not post up the techniques in the first post.

You are allowed to add more if you wish but you must add it within the History of the Profile.

Alignment

  • In the Naruto Forum role-playing game, alignment is a categorization of the ethical and moral perspective of people, creatures and societies. Naruto Forum Role-play allows players to choose between three main alignments when creating a character: lawful, implying honor and respect for societies rules; chaotic, implying the opposite; and neutral, meaning neither. Naruto Forum Role-play has a second axis of good, neutral and evil, offering a combination of nine alignments. Alignment depicts a person's attitude and moral within the Game. It is who they are, what they are. Alignments can be changed, but if you pick an alignment follow it through.

    • Lawful Good (Crusader) - Lawful Good is known as the "Saintly" or "Crusader" alignment. A lawful good character typically acts with compassion, and always with honor and a sense of duty. A lawful good nation would consist of a well-organized government that works for the benefit of its citizens. Lawful good characters include righteous knights, paladins, and most dwarves. Lawful good creatures include the noble golden dragons. In the Complete Scoundrel sourcebook, Batman, Dick Tracy and Indiana Jones are cited as examples of Lawful Good characters.[4] In the real world, the Scout Oath of the Boy Scouts of America also expresses a Lawful Good ideal.
    • Neutral Good (Benefactor) - Neutral Good is known as the "Benefactor" alignment. A neutral good character is guided by his conscience and typically acts altruistically, without regard for or against Lawful precepts such as rules or tradition. A neutral good character may cooperate with lawful officials but does not feel beholden to them. A doctor that treats soldiers from both sides in a war would be considered Neutral Good. Examples of Neutral Good characters include Zorro, and Spider-Man. The Neutral Good outsiders are known as Guardinals.
    • Chaotic Good (Rebel) - Chaotic Good is known as the "Beatific" or "Rebel" alignment. A chaotic good character favors change for the greater good, disdains bureaucratic organizations that get in the way of social improvement, and places a high value on personal freedom. Starbuck from Battlestar Galactica, Malcolm Reynolds from Firefly, and Robin Hood are examples of Chaotic Good individuals.
    • Lawful Neutral (Judge) - Lawful Neutral is called the "Judge" or "Disciplined" alignment. A lawful neutral character typically believes strongly in Lawful concepts such as honor, order, rules and tradition, and often follows a personal code. A Lawful Neutral society would typically enforce strict laws to maintain social order, and place a high value on traditions and historical precedent. Examples of Lawful Neutral characters might include a soldier who always follows orders, a judge or enforcer that adheres mercilessly to the word of the law, or a disciplined monk. Characters of this alignment are neutral with regard to Good and Evil. This does not mean that Lawful Neutral characters are amoral or immoral, or do not have a moral compass; but simply that their moral considerations come a distant second to what their code, tradition or law dictates. They typically have a strong ethical code, but it is primarily guided by their system of belief, not by a commitment to Good or Evil. James Bond, Odysseus, and Sanjuro from Yojimbo are Lawful Neutral.
    • Neutral (Undecided or Balanced) - Neutral alignment, also referred to as True Neutral or Neutral, is called the "Undecided" or "Nature's" alignment. This alignment represents neutral on both axes, and tends not to feel strongly towards any alignment. A farmer whose only concern is to feed his family is of this alignment. Most animals, lacking the capacity for moral judgment, are of this alignment. Some neutral characters, rather than feeling undecided, are committed to a balance between the alignments. They may see Good, Evil, Law and Chaos as simply prejudices and dangerous extremes. Mordenkainen is one such character who takes this concept to the extreme, dedicating himself to a detached philosophy of neutrality to ensure that no one alignment or power takes control of the Flanaess. Lara Croft, Lucy Westenra from Dracula and Han Solo in his early Star Wars appearance are Neutral.
    • Chaotic Neutral (Free Spirit) - Chaotic Neutral is called the "Anarchist" or "Free Spirit" alignment. A character of this alignment is an individualist who follows his or her own heart, shirks rules and traditions. They typically act out of self-interest, but do not specifically enjoy seeing others suffer. Many adventurers are of this alignment. An unusual subset of Chaotic Neutral is "strongly Chaotic Neutral", describing a character who behaves chaotically to the point of appearing insane. Characters of this type may regularly change their appearance and attitudes for the sake of change, and intentionally disrupt organizations for the sole reason of disrupting a Lawful construct. Captain Jack Sparrow, Al Swearengen from the TV series Deadwood, and Snake Plissken from Escape from New York are verifiably Chaotic Neutral characters.
    • Lawful Evil (Dominator) - Lawful Evil is referred to as the "Dominator" or "Diabolic" alignment. Characters of this alignment show a combination of desirable and undesirable traits: while they typically obey their superiors and keep their word (trustworthy), they care nothing for the rights and freedoms of other individuals. Examples of this alignment include tyrants, devils, honorable but undiscriminating mercenary types, and soldiers who follow the chain of command but enjoy killing for its own sake. Boba Fett of Star Wars, and X-Men's Magneto are examples of Lawful Evil characters.
    • Neutral Evil (Malefactor) - Neutral Evil is called the "Malefactor" alignment. Characters of this alignment are typically selfish and have no qualms about turning on their allies-of-the-moment. They have no compunctions about harming others to get what they want, but neither will they go out of their way to cause carnage or mayhem when they see no direct benefit to it. An example would be an assassin, who has little regard for formal laws but does not needlessly kill. A villain of this alignment can be more dangerous than either Lawful or Chaotic Evil characters, since he is neither bound by any sort of honor or tradition nor disorganized and pointlessly violent. Complete Scoundrel cites X-Men's Mystique, Sawyer of Lost as Neutral Evil characters.
    • Chaotic Evil (Destroyer)- Chaotic Evil is referred to as the "Destroyer" or "Demonic" alignment. Characters of this alignment tend to have little respect for rules, other peoples' lives, or anything but their own selfish desires. They typically only behave themselves out of fear of punishment. According to the Complete Scoundrel sourcebook, Carl Denham from King Kong and Riddick from Pitch Black are Chaotic Evil.

If you are a Non Ninja, you will not start off with the Academy Techniques. The Techniques location is divided up into three parts, NinJutsu, GenJutsu, and TaiJutsu. You may organize this as how you wish as long as staff may know which Freebies (look below) are and what are Regular Techniques. When Posting a Technique look through our Indexes and copy paste the technique in your bio.

History

  • If you are a Bloodlimit, this is where staff sees if you are proficient in being a Bloodlimit character or not. All Bloodlimits must fit with the restrictions and history that goes with the Bloodlimit if necessary. Also all stories must seem right and not out of place. Remember to please be in-depth with your history so then it can add a bit more of a flare towards the Role-play. If you are creating a character that has a Cannon Bloodlimit you will have at least four paragraphs and five sentences each. If you have a clan jutsu in your jutsus you must state how and why you were capable of learning that Jutsu inside your history. Please do not say that the clan just taught you because we will deny it. Please be more creative into this and just give a little reason out. You will need at least one paragraph of four sentences for each Clan Jutsu that you place in within your history. If you are a Non-Ninja you will need to Place how you are capable of molding chakra, as well as how you were able to learn techniques that Ninjas are only capable of learning.
