| Role Playing Rules All rules mention in the Ultimate Conflict Section apply as do the following:
What is Roleplaying? - Spoiler:
RPing, or RolePlaying is basically when the user (That is You) takes the time to create character, plays the character that you have created in a world of Make Believe. You the user will be bringing your character to life through crazy styles of actions and words, by creating interaction with other users (Other People) characters. RP or RPG is an abbreviation for Role Play or Role Playing Game. There are many variations of what a Role Playing Game May be. In many cases Role Play is done in a real life situation, with a group of friends. The most popular of these types of Roleplays are the creations of what is known as Dungeons and Dragons where you play as Orcs, Elves, Dwarfs, Halflings, or any other monster that is capable of being created. There is also Vampire the Masquerade where you are capable of becoming an epic vampire, going around harming or helping others to your own content. This is the type of Role Playing Game that we Play. A Type of game that enables people to interact by written action, and not in verbal action. Online Roleplay has a wide variety as well when it comes to interactions. There are variations where there are picture based games, Nexus and others, that would use different types of graphis such as Nintendo style graphics, and there is also what most sites are known for, which is called Text Based. Varieties of Role-PlayInternet forums are the most common medium for Play-by-Post gaming. Some online forums provide benefits such as online dice rolling, character profiling and game history. Others, such as Alleria in the fantasy genre, Gaia Online, and New Worlds Project in the science-fiction genre emphasise the use of free-hand and the absence of dice and chance. Thanks to online forums, players can easily keep track of all aspects of the game, can see what is happening elsewhere and can re-read anything they have previously written. Many online services provide free game hosting for gamemasters. Message-board role-playing is faster than play-by-email, but as all players can see all the posts there can possibly be problems on forums that do not support private messages. Another benefit is that most of the forum software in widespread use today supports the editing of posts, so when an error is made it can be masked over.
- Play-by-email
Play-by-email games are played as other play-by-mail games, using email as the postal medium. Players email their moves to the gamemaster, who collates them and replies to them, again via email. Play-by-email games are often slow, since the gamemaster must wait for each post before replying, but have the advantage that replies may be tailored to the players, allowing the gamemaster to keep information secret from the other players.
- Play-by-chat
Using an Instant Messenger or a chatroom, two or more people role-play in third or first person. While technically the fastest method of play-by-post RPing, it can also be considered the most difficult, many people also consider it to be the most fun, it is often referred to as rping with CCs [custom characters] as it requires both the ability to type fast, and think quickly and in character. Sometimes it may require people to play multiple parts. It is also necessary that all players be online at the same time.
It is possible to hide information from other players only if the chatroom has an option that allows chatters to send information only to certain people.
- Play-by-internet
Play-by-internet (PBI) refers to fully automated games which take place using server-based software. Play-by-internet games differ from other play-by-post games in that, for most computerized multiplayer games, the players have to be online at the same time, and players can make their moves anytime independent of any other players in the game. The turn-time is usually fixed. A server updates the game after the turn-time has elapsed evaluating all the player's moves sent to the server. The turn-time duration can be hours, days, weeks or even months.
Play-by-internet can be considered an enhanced version of play-by-mail and play-by-post because it doesn't require manual labor to send out moves, or as an enhanced version of message-board role-playing which allows information to be hidden from players.
- Play-by-wiki
A play-by-wiki game is played using wiki software instead of a forum. Because players' previous posts are editable, plot holes can be avoided. For this reason, writing skills aren't as important for every writer. The gamemaster takes responsibity as the overall editor of the story.
Wiki space provides not only a means of communication, but also a permanent archive and a designated off-topic discussion area for each page. Players can edit information freely because change records are automatically maintained and changes can be easily undone.
- Role-playing blog
The role-playing blog (RPB) is a game which is played out online using posts within a blog. Unlike play-by-post gaming or message board role-playing, a role-playing blog is generally restricted to one gaming group, and the blog contains static files such as maps, archives, and character sheets specific for that group.
MUDs and MU*sPrecursor to the now-more popular MMORPGs of today are the branch of text-based games known as MUD, MOO, MUCK, MUSH, MUX, DUM and MUSE, a set of games on similar platforms collectively termed as MU*s within the community by players and aficionados. The main difference in the various platforms lies in their purpose; some, like the myriad codebases for MUDs, are employed in combat-intensive games (either player versus player or against mobs), while MUSH and MUCK are seen in games that focus more on player interaction and role-play. Although interest in these games has suffered from the popularity of MMORPGs, a large number of them still operate. For a more complete history of these games refer to the entry on MUDs. Real-time human-moderatedSome games rely entirely upon human moderators to dictate events, and physical print books for rules sets. Such games may use code dice-rollers, to generate random results, and may include databases for the purposes of maintaining character records. Interaction between characters is controlled by communication between individual players (with each other) and with moderators (who portray non-player characters). Communication software and database options vary, from the DigiChat front-end / character database back-end pairing pioneered by Conrad Hubbard at White Wolf Publishing, to the numerous AOL and Yahoo chats with hosted character databases. Free-form games may even do away with database integration or dice-rollers entirely and rely upon individual players to keep their own records, with online community reputation dictating how other players react.
What should a good role player have. - Spoiler:
There are multiple things that Every Good Role-Player should have. There is something that every person should do within every post that they create. Why? Because this is just logical. This creates character development, and better writing not only for yourself, but as well as the other people you are interacting with. Listed below is a little more of an in-depth of what every Good Role-Player Should Have
- A Beginning
- There needs to be a beginning, can't start in the middle. You must take the interaction from the beginning as best as one can possibly can. Most state this by what a character is thinking, or by mimicking a small brief portion of what another character is doing. If you are first starting the post, then you must make the beginning by making the scenery. What is around? What is there? What time of Day is it? These are all must be known. Unless there is a Game Master (Listed later on in the Tutorial) and you are the first one entering a room, you should take the time to explain the way the room looks as well. This however of course does not happen if you have a lead Roleplayer, someone that will take the time to do this himself.
- A Middle
- The Middle is usually the interaction of the post between your character and another, or really the body of the post. This is where you state what your character is doing in a simplistic, or detail like form. Within here, your character usually is doing some sort of action, picking up a book, looking off into the distance, picking flowers, picking his nose. Something.
- An Ending -
The ending is usually ended by the action of the middle, the effect of the middle. Something like this is ended is where you allow something for the other people to interact with. This is also where actions take place from what you were doing in the middle, like you are reading the book that you picked, you see some trees off in the distance, your flowers die as you pick them, you found buried treasure from your nose.
- Good Spelling and Grammar
- Good Spelling and Grammar. Yes this matters most of the time. Reasons why is because speaking in Text form takes the feel away of Roleplaying. Now this does not mean you should be an English Major, just write decently well, with correct punctuation.
- Relevance
- There are three different types of Relevance. One the Post needs to make sense in general. It can not be a bunch of weirdness where it just does not make sense. This type of thing means you are in one place, and two hundred yards away you are at another place. Or you are at two places at once. This type of thing confuses other Roleplayers, and they would not be able to interact very well. Two you have to be in character. Remember if it does not happen in character it does not happen. You can not say Out of character, stating that your character did something but the problem is, it does not happen if it does not happen in character. Another Character can not have something if your character did not give it to him. The Third thing that it would need is, it needs to have a point. A point can be anything, to make interaction, to make humor, or anything else such as that. This type of thing is always needed, there needs to be a point in the post.
What if I cannot role play very well? - Spoiler:
Role-Playing is a very weird activity to get used to, it is not easy so please do not get discouraged. Remember once you get the hang of it, everything will begin to start rolling in and you are past the rookie level of Roleplaying which is known as the newbies (New People). If it is your first time in in the art of Roleplaying, do your best to try and work it out for at least a week and see how things go. It takes a few times to get the hang of it, so don't get frustrated. Everyone Starts from the beginning, and it takes time to get better. Even the veterans had a beginning even if they don't want to admit it. It just takes a matter of practice. With time comes wisdom, so don't get discouraged, because that will make you upset, and that is the first rule of the Internet, don't take it serious, and don't let anyone else try to tell you anything different. Veterans like to pick on the newbies (New People) but really they have to prove themselves to you as well just like you got to prove to them. No one is above you no matter what they say.
::: Roleplaying Terms - [RP2]::: Okay ladies and gentle men now that we have gone through the "Basics" of Roleplaying. We will go into something else. We will be going into the "Terms" of Roleplaying. The Roleplaying Terms is what is seen all over the place dealing with almost any type of Roleplay there is whether it may be Internet, Tabletop, or anything else within the form of Roleplaying. These terms are known throughout, and are very common. You may find a few terms here and there that are not found all over and just this site, but hey don't worry. Remember this is a guide, so try to enjoy. What is IC? - Spoiler:
IC Also known as In Character is a term used widely without spelling out the wording In Character. In Character is the action of which someone acts within their Character. This means in a simpler term that they make their character move within the Character Realm. Example: Hulk Buster moves through the forest as the night cool breeze gently brushed by emitting the sweet scent of near by Violet flower petals that bloomed just before the night sky came by.
Within there. The Character Hulk Buster was moving through the forest. This is an In Character Action.
What is OOC? - Spoiler:
OOC Also known as Out of Character is a term used widely without spelling out the wording Out of Character. Out of Character is the action that does not deal with anything In Character. This is a statement where a person may talk to another user without their character interacting. This is usually used during a chat form, discussion form that does not deal with the actual RP. Example: (OOC: I just want to say that I hope we enjoy Roleplaying with each other. I am joining in to help.)
Hulk Buster moves through the forest as the night cool breeze gently brushed by emitting the sweet scent of near by Violet flower petals that bloomed just before the night sky came by.
Within there. The Actual user controlling Hulk Buster is stating something out of character by first placing in OOC and stating that they are there to enjoy a Roleplay. This is an Out of Character Action
What is IIC? - Spoiler:
IIC A new term called Inactive In Character. This will be discussed better later on but Inactive In character is used to keep a thread alive. It is used so that when a person is unable to post within an amount of time that is state at the beginning of the thread, that person is capable of being skipped to allow other people to post ahead. Example: Hulk Buster was in a thread that had an IIC for Two days. He had two days from the Last post to post something but was not able. So She Hulk Buster decided to skip the turn after the Two Days had expired.
What is a GM - DM? - Spoiler:
GM - DM are two different types. Reasons why is because of the name difference. The meaning however is the same. GM is known as Game Master, while DM is known as Dungeon Master. A GM, or DM, are those who create interactive Roleplays. They put the other players before themselves. They create situations where other players may interact by creating a common problem. The player who guides the other players through adventures, describes the game world and plays all of the NPCs. GMs - DMs are used to create events for the site to better create story indepth and character interaction.
What is NPC? - Spoiler:
NPCNon-Player Character. In general, any character (human or otherwise) in a role-playing game that is not controlled by someone playing the game. In a tabletop RPG, the game master or equivalent (the person running the game) will generally act/speak the parts of all NPCs. These NPCs can range anywhere from an innkeeper the players talk to in order to rent a room to the mysterious woman who follows your party along for her own unknown reasons only to backstab you right when you were starting to trust her. It's up to the GM. In LARP, the people running the game will again play the NPC parts, and may enlist others to be NPCs. In an ongoing game, LARP NPCs tend to be the characters who are either too temporary or too important to be done by a given player. In single-player video game RPGs, NPCs are anyone who isn't your party. They generally aren't referred to as such in this context because "the guy next to the weapon shop" works just as well. These NPCs have a set dialog, and most will repeat the same thing they say every time you try to talk to them. Several webcomics have poked fun at this. And in a MMORPG, the NPCs are the characters controlled by the server. They often have some kind of distinguishing feature, such as listing their trade in their status window or their name being displayed in a different color of text. As with single-player RPGs, these NPCs will tend to have set patterns of behavior and often must be interacted with to achieve some objective or another. Example:I need someone who's not playing a regular character to be a NPC today. or Talk to the NPC by the gates to start the item collecting quest.
What is PC? - Spoiler:
PC Also known as Playable Character. Not really alot to explain other then, this is who your character is. This is who you play as.
What is Firewalling? - Spoiler:
Firewalling A Term hardly ever used, whether it is used in character, or out of character. This is a term that not to many people know, and actually practice. It is when a user is seperating a character's knowledge from the poster's knowledge. This should be practiced a lot more, but since every character, or every person who Roleplays wishes to be god, and have nothing happen to them, they don't practice this at all. Hence why it is rare. Every person has a character that can tell everything, what is going to happen to them, what will happen to them, what they can do, they can always defeat, and etc. This term is so rare, it is a godsend to actually see it being played. Every person wishes to magically know when something is going to happen, and that type of thing is frowned upon. So remember what Firewalling is and practice it, because you will be respected as a RPer, as well as a person. Example: Hulk Buster's user knows that his character, Hulk Buster, is going to be attacked from behind, but because he is firewalling, Hulk Buster does not know he is going to be attacked from behind.
What is RL? - Spoiler:
RLReal Life. Similiarly used as OOC. Example: ((RL: Sorry that was so short; I'm at work.))
What is Baiting? - Spoiler:
Baiting Flaming without using actual nasty or derisive language. Baiting is when someone posts speaking out trying to get someone to flame. An excuse a troll uses upon posting an idiotic thread or reply to a messageboard. Usually said after said troll is flamed and shown of ones idiocy. Example: Neorah: Grunty you suck at life, give up. Grunty: WTF, I'll kill you. Saberwulf: Baited!
What is Trolling? - Spoiler:
Trolling Being a prick on the internet because you can. Typically unleashing one or more cynical or sarcastic remarks on an innocent by-stander, because it's the internet and, hey, you can. Trolling is the act of purposefully antagonizing other people on the internet, generally on message boards.
What is Spamming, Spammers? - Spoiler:
Spamming - Spammers Spam is flooding the Internet with many copies of the same message, in an attempt to force the message on people who would not otherwise choose to receive it. Most spam is commercial advertising, often for dubious products, get-rich-quick schemes, or quasi-legal services. Spam costs the sender very little to send -- most of the costs are paid for by the recipient or the carriers rather than by the sender. In the Forum it is when someone posts a useless post inside a thread, or someone who posts multiple times over and over causing trouble, not creating any type of intellectual dialog that may be used for the conversation within a forum. A Spammer is one who spams. Usually these types of people are the types that disregards rules, and does not listen to the administration. This is close, or is also known as trolling. Example: Hulk Buster's Clone Hulk Bustera was posting in every post the word Boobie and random characteristics in the thread that did not follow along with the thread.
What is Godmodding? - Spoiler:
Godmodding Mispelling of Godmoding & God Modding in rpg and forum settings, thus the meaning is the same. The term applies to "Godly-modification"; or "Godlike-modification" to a character, through skills such as evasion and the like, as well as the character's personality which usually consists of a superior "I know all, see all, and am all", et cetera. The singlemost annoying and obnoxious gamers on the planet. Tend to act like 7 year olds when they don't get their way during games of pretend, i.e. - Bang, you're dead! Yeah huh, I killed you and you can't play anymore! Those who believe they are gods never taking a hit. This is the most defiled form of Roleplaying. Don't do it.
What is Metagaming? - Spoiler:
Metagaming The act of using outside or previously gained knowledge within a gaming universe for personal gain or advantage. This is widely used when a person takes something in context that is known as Out of Character and putting it In Character. This type of thing is a result of knowing that someone is going to attack you, or steal from you, and your character automatically knows it or finds out without there being in character interaction first. This is another form of Roleplaying that is greatly frowned upon. Don't do it. Ranking System - Character Class Levels - Strength of Character and Training Points (How to Train)Rankings List and More. - Spoiler:
Character ClassesListed below is the Character Classes in which a user is capable of learning techniques better and this states how strong a user is as well. Everything is treated by Training points. There are two different types of training points though. One form is just Training for Techniques which will be Stated later, and Training Points in which to gain Character Class. Please read on to get a better understanding. First we will tell you the Character Classes and how many points you would need in order to gain another Character Class. To Better Understand the difference Between the strengths of Characters this is where it is going to be stated. Please Read through everything and please Place in the total amount of your Training Points within your Account's Signature. If you can not do this we will remind you, but continuing to not do so will resolve into, well there is no penalty just please place it in. There is Different Classes to give out the difference between strength levels. The Classes is like Levels of an RPG game. Every RPG Game has Levels like 1-50, even more such as up to 99. An example would be that a Level One Character will not be able to Power Struggle against a Level 99 Character. What this means is that when the Level Ninety Nine Character attacks the Level One Character, there is no way a Level One Character can out maneuver, out speed, or strength a Level Ninety Nine Character. For that this works the same as that of this site when it comes to Character Class. We have Five Different Types of Character Classes. From Weakest to Strongest they are "D" Class, "C" Class, "B" Class, "A" Class, and "S" Class. To those that have watched an anime, the best way to explain the difference between Classes is by stating that a "D" Class Character would be someone like Sakura when she first becomes a Gennin. A "B" Class Character is Kakashi when Sakurau first becomes a Gennin. Before the battled began Kakashi was so fast that Sakura did not notice the speed. Sasuke, Naruto, and Sakura were not capable of going against Kakashi in a Power Struggle Battle. Remember that when you are fighting different types of characters, and finding the difference between the Characters. Listed Below is a little more of a Close up of Character Class Levels. Each Character Class Level is slightly different in what a person is capable of learning, and what is needed in order to gain another Character Class Level.
- D-Rank Character Class Level
- Everyone starts off with D-Rank Difficulty Class. The D-Rank Difficulty Class is the type of class in where a user starts off with no matter what. A D-Rank Difficulty Class are the run of the mill types, the beginners those who take a long while to learn all sorts of types of techniques. A D-Rank Difficulty Class is only capable of summoning D-Rank Summons.
- C-Rank Difficulty Class
- C-Rank is the next step of a powerful Class. They are capable of adapting a little more and understanding of techniques. They can perform techniques a little easier and may use techniques with less amount of chakra but still not as much as that of a D-Rank Difficulty Class. A C-Rank Difficulty Class person must have an amount of 500 Training points in order to be considered as a C Rank Difficulty Class Ninja. This is the next step of Learning and Understanding. In order to learn A-Rank Techniques a user must be in the C Rank Difficulty Class. A C-Rank Difficulty Class is only capable of summoning C - B Rank Summons.
- B-Rank Difficulty Class - B-Rank
is the next step of a powerful Class. They are capable of adapting a little more and understanding of techniques. They can perform techniques a little easier and may use techniques with less amount of chakra but still not as much as that of a C-Rank Difficulty Class. A B-Rank Difficulty Class person must have an amount of 1500 Training points in order to be considered as a B-Rank Difficulty Class Ninja. This is the Next Step of learning and Understanding. In order to learn S-Rank Techniques a user must be in the B-Rank Difficulty Class. A B-Rank Difficulty Class is only capable of summoning A Rank Summons.
- A Rank Difficulty Class
- The A-Rank Difficulty Class is the next step of power. They are capable of performing Major Types of feats and techniques and skills. These are the high powered types of Classes and most classes of this power and magnitude are the most likely capable of being picked in order to become Kage or even Sannin. An A-Rank Difficulty Class person must have an amount of 3000 Training points in order to be considered as an A-Rank Difficulty Class Ninja. The A-Rank Difficulty Class are the type of People capable of summoning S Rank Summons.
- S Rank Difficulty Class
- The S-Rank Difficulty Class is the last step of power. The S-Rank Difficulty Class are the most powerful types of ninjas that could perhaps be around. They are masters and they are the ones who have understandings towards techniques all around. An S-Rank Difficulty Class must have an amount of 5500 Training points in order to be considered part of the S-Rank Difficulty Class.
Now in order to figure out what rank you are, you consider yourself as a regular D-Rank Difficulty class and you add up all of the Training Points it took you to learn every single type of Jutsu. This means that if you tried to learn a C-Rank Technique you add Thirty points. If you tried to learn a B Rank technique you must add in Seventy Training points. Keep adding until you have achieved your ranks. Training Points - For Techniques and How to Gain Training Points1) Learning Clan Techniques can only be obtainable by learning from a Clan member.
2) Please follow the rules of Difficulty Class in order to learn Techniques.
3) Bloodlimit Jutsus can not be learned unless you are part of the heritage.
4) When learning a technique you will need training points within that technique. To learn it will be Rank of Jutsu plus ten points ever rank you are below the Jutsu. For example… If you are a "C Difficulty Class" Character and you wish to learn Kage Bushin no Jutsu, a Rank “A” Technique, then you would need A Hundred points to learn. Eighty for the "A Rank" plus twenty for being two Difficulty Ranks below the desired jutsu.
5) You can not train and do a mission at the same time. It is either one, or the other thing. Reasons why is so then your character can be more involved with your character instead of just training. You can however do training inside the mission but remember to keep it in one thread.
If you have questions just ask. Listed On This Table is the Base Amount of Training PointsJutsu Rank | Character Class Needed | Training Points | (E) Academy | D | 5 | (D) Gennin | D | 10 | (C) Chuunin | D | 20 | (B) Juunin | D | 60 | (A) Kage | C | 80 | (S) Special | B | 100 |
Key: Character Difficulty Class Needed- Will tell you what Difficulty Class you'll need to be before you can learn this kind of technique. Remember that Difficulty Class is not your Village Rank. Status Rank is your status rank of your Hidden Village. You may be considered a Gennin, but as strong as a Sannin. **The nicknames (Gennin, Chuunin, Juunin, Kage, and Special) does not mean that your character has achieved that status in the village, it means that you are at that level of combat. So, Achieving a Status Rank in your village is NOT necessary to learn a technique. Training Points - This is the Number of Training points necessary for someone to learn a E, D, C, B, A, or S Ranked Technique. NOTES:
- Even
if training points reach below Ten, Training will always be Ten no matter what no matter what rank you are. This means that if you are a S Rank Ninja, and you wish to learn a D Rank Move, the technique is Ten Training points.
- For every Difficulty Class that you're below the Jutsu Rank an additional 10 points are added to the Training Points.
- For every Difficulty Class that you're above the Jutsu Rank 10 points are deducted from the Training Points..
- You only gain ten training points per post at all times, but this depends on the quality of the post. No exceptions.
- No learning two Jutsus at the same time is allowed.
- Do
not second guess your training points, that means that do not make two posts and put up another Jutsu that you wish to learn without the first one being graded. You might not receive the required points, if any at all.
- Some jutsus have prerequisites, and some have special cases in which to learn. Make sure you meet those prerequisites
List. - Spoiler:
Ranking System - Ninjas - Village Status RanksWithin here we will discuss on the the two Major types of Ranks for the site. We have Ninja Ranks which are the ranks that consist of all Ninjas. A Ninja starts off as a Gennin, and then will work their way up to Chuunin, Jounin, and even the Rank of Kage if they are lucky. These ranks are called Ninja Ranks. The next type of ranks that we have are called Difficulty Class. Difficulty Class states how strong your character is and how well they are capable of adapting to learning Techniques. Difficulty Class is NOT Ninja Rank, and Ninja Rank is NOTDifficulty class so please do not mistake them for one another, or ask why you are not a Ninja Rank if you have a Difficulty Class of so high. Listed below is the First section of Ranks which is Ninja Ranks. All Ninja ranks will be given their own definitions and explanations as to what they do and what they can do. Ranks of Village Statuses can not be cheated out. It must be earned in every possible way. A Kage can not up and give People certain ranks because it does not work that way. Ranks are earned, it is a stature, so then when a person earns it, they are said hey look at that, I earned it. I feel great. That is how these ranks work. Ranks creates Stature, and it creates balance as well. Ranks shows a person's progress in the life and value and being of what it means to be part of a village. Ninja Ranks
- Gennin
Genins are the lowest rank of ninja. Once an academy student becomes a genin, they are assigned a jounin instructor with two of their classmates. This group is taught by their jounin and perform basic jobs commissioned by the village. This typically means that they are required to do remedial, labor-intensive jobs that require little or no combat. Two good examples of genin-ranked missions are finding lost pets, and weeding gardens. A genin's life consists of these missions and training, all to prepare for the Chuunin Selection Exam begins. At this point, genins are put through a three part exam that proves their knowledge, survival skills, and combat ability. During the final combat part of the exam, the genins are evaluated on whether or not they have the needed skills to be promoted to chuunin. However, it is not uncommon to have a very small number of genins selected.
- Site Notes:
Everyone starts off as a Gennin no matter what. If you want a team you can make a team. Teams are not mandatory. A Gennin is only capable of going through C or D Rank Missions. They are capable of going into B Missions if they are accompanied by a Chuunin. A Missions if they are accompanied by a Jounin.
</li> - Chuunin
Upon achieving the rank of chuunin, a great deal of responsibility is placed upon the ninja. A chuunin is no longer an apprentice, but a leader. They can command a small group and are actively involved in combat situations. A chuunin not only holds their own life in the balance, but those of ninja assigned under them. Chuunin's responsibilities do not only extend to battle, however. They are also teachers of academy students, imparting their experience and abilities onto the next generation. They are in charge of teaching the students all they need to know to begin their journey of becoming ninja, and basic physical training. Becoming a chuunin is a sign of skill of dependence, and is not something easily obtained.
- Site Notes:
A Chuunin is capable of making missions for other people. If a Chuunin has knowledge of a type of job such as a Medic they are allowed to teach if they wish to. A Chuunin is capable of going into Missions B to D Rank. If a Chuunin wishes to participate into A Rank Missions they must be accompanied by a Jounin.
- Important:
To Become a Chuunin you must Become a final in the Chuunin Exams. The only way to go into the Chuunin Exams is by Gathering 500 TP, and finishing a total of Eight Missions for that Character. If you do not become a finalist in the Chuunin Exams then you must wait till the next Exams.
</li> - Jounin
Even as achieving chuunin demonstrates proficiency and skill, achieving jounin is a sign of mastery. Jounins are exceptional fighters who operate on a completely different level than their lower ranked counterparts. Because of this, they are given the most dangerous missions. Jounins also are not limited to battle. While chuunins are in charge of teaching academy students, jounins are responsible for trios of genins. A jounin leads the groups through their initial missions and prepares them for the Chuunin Selection Exam. Jounins typically only impart knowledge to their assigned genins, though there are some who take on special students and impart techniques and skills to them as well. Not much is known about the methods of promoting jounins, however.
- Sidenotes:
A Jounin is capable of going into S to D Rank Missions if they wish. If a Ninja was to go into a S Rank Mission they must be accompanied by another Jounin. It is recommeneded to be accompanied by more then two Jounin. A jounin can teach a team if they wish.
- Important:
To Become a Jounin is by discretion of the Kage. The Kage Must create Jounin Exams for the Jounins within the village and is village only. There they can decide who is capable of becoming a Jounin, and create a number of how many may become Jounin. This could be a Tournament, or perhaps something else. It is the Kage's choice. In order to participate in the Jounin Village Exams, you must first be a Chuunin. You must have mastered into two things. This means that you have 500 TP into two things. This could be releases, or fighting styles. You must also have completed a total of 15 Missions, with at least three of them being Interaction Missions.
</li> - Sannin
Sage - Also known as a sennin, this rank of Ninja consists of Ninjas who are close to, or possibly stronger than that of a Kage Ninja. This type of Ninja was usually choose to live outside of their own village, but are forced to keep in touch with it, so not become a Missin-Nin and get hunted down. 3 examples of Ninjas who fall into this rank of ninja are Jiraiya, Tsunade (Who is now a Kage), and Orochimaru. Side Notes: A Sannin are the type of people who can roam around all over the world without worry and without prosecution and without permission. The only way a user may become Sannin is if they are hand picked by the staff. There are only Three per Village.
- Important:
In order to become a Sannin you must first be a Jounin. You must be a "B" to "S" Class Character. You must be the top three best of the village in smarts, and capability. (Admin, Headmod Approval).
</li> - Kage
There are many academy students, there are many genins, many chuunins and many jounins, but there is only one Kage. The Kage is the strongest and most supreme ninja of all ninjas in their respective villages. Despite what some may assume because of appearances, they are immensely powerful and hold a number of powerful techniques that can even control nature itself. Becoming Kage is the ultimate level of mastery and skill. Each of the hidden villages have their own Kage, with a different name. Ho (Fire), Kaze (Wind), Rai (Lightning), Mizu (Water), and Tsuchi (Earth)/
- Sidenote Becoming a
Kage means you are now a Game Master, one who is in charge of his village, keeping it safe, and making Interaction missions to improve the activity of your village as well as the Site. Your Bread and Butter is the Interactive Missions that you create that is completed. Your Bread and butter is Missions completed and done by your Ninjas.
Being a Kage means that you are Active. If for some reason you can not be active and check in regularly into your village you must state so and state a reason why you can not be active so that the members may understand. These members are the people in your village.
With that saying you are allowed to Lock, Move, and Sticky. However you are only allowed to do that inside your own village. You may not do such things in other cities, or villages. If you are caught doing so, then you will have your Kage Rank Stripped. We allow Kages to give money as well which means modifying profiles, but if we allow that we better not see any Kages taking advantage of that. This means no becoming staff for a brief moment, no changing names, no changing other people's Ryo or anything else like that. This also means you can not mod your own character. If we allow a Kage to change such things, and a Kage takes advantage of that and cheats, will be stripped of Kage, and will have a warning of a Hundred percent. This means one more mishap will have a temporary ban.
It is your Duty to send people to destroy the missing Nin. You are in charge of keeping your Ninja in line. If one goes Missing it is your duty to either send a team to capture, or kill the Ninja. You must start an investigation and etc.
Since Kages are considered as Game Masters with more authority they are allowed to create their own events. In this board you must first post your Event and have it discussed to see if it is plausible. Events only deal with your Village or Village Interactions may occur.
Kages are allowed to move Threads. They are allowed to move any previous Kage thread that they wish. They are allowed to move any Thread where the creator of the thread no longer exists. Any thread that has become inactive however the Kage may not Move them. Reasons why is because there are times where people reactivate the threads. Other threads that a Kage may Move is previous Voting Threads.
- Important:
Anyone can become a Kage if they are voted in. A Kage however must follow all requirements for all Jutsu Learning. This is to stop those that wish to become Kage to gather quick money, or learn Jutsus to suddenly leave. This means that in order to learn the Kage Bunshin no Jutsu you must be a Chuunin, or part of the ANBU. When you become Kage you gain the responsibility but if you loose the Kage ship you revert back to your formal position before you became Kage. This means that if you become Kage and was a Gennin, then you were demoted, you go back to Gennin and still have to go off and complete the Chuunin Exams to make a Mission. With this saying, no one has ever said that a Kage can not join an exam, but, they must be careful for there is enemies everywhere.

Guide battle system. - Spoiler:
How to Battle - [RP5] Free Form Fighting - T1 Rules ConceptFree Form Fighting Rules are quite simple as the concept is based off the T1 Rules of Paragraph Fighting. Free Form Fighting is the basis of all-combat. Free Form consists of attempts and defenses using paragraphs, details and sentence structures to outsmart the opponent in hoping to miss a situation that you have settled up against them. An Introduction to Free Form FightingBefore a Fight may begin, a Battle Moderator will look through the fight, or fights while making a decision as to how fair the battle may be according to the outcome of the people writing. The You Mays and You May Nots
- - May Post your Attacks and Defenses at Any Time within Reason.
- - May Decide if attacks dealt upon your character is hit, and how much damage is taken from the attack.
- - May Describe your own character's attacks being initiated and your character's thoughts and feelings.
- -
May NOT Dodge every significant attack, or have attacks that hit while doing no damage. This is called poor Justification and makes very bad Roleplaying. A user must be realistic about how attacks are being dealt with.
- - May NOT decide whether "your" attacks does any type of damage or hit your opponent.
- -
May NOT control your opponent in any way. For instance, while you might love to write 'and he trembled at the awesome sight of Saint Sparalot', this would be abuse of control. Control should be minimal and used to facilitate the flow of the battle, not to bolster your ego or place your opponent in an unrealistic situation.
- - May NOT use a Critical Hit attack without a Battle Moderator or Opponent's Consent
- - May NOT use an attack that is not already stated in your character's profile.
- -
May say name of Special attack without giving out the technique within the post. Must describe attack and it must be justified. Saying "He used the mega big bang attack 2000" and say look in profile for effects will not fly. It shows bad Roleplaying skills
- - May NOT
Metagame. All Metagaming should be avoided. This is where you adjust what you do IC to take account of what you either only know OOC, or want to do OOC. For instance, if your character does not know that someone is psychic, then OOC you read his or her profile and put up a psychic barrier IC without good cause.
- - May NOT portray
your opponent unrealistically. That is, do not portray them like some idiot that meekly accepts your attacks and then begs for mercy. (Which means you have no control of what your opponent can do?)
- -
May NOT kill, or de-limb. These require special permissions from the opponent, where instead of asking for a critical hit post, you ask for either a de-limb, or a kill.
- - May in the first initial post as a setting creature make what is needed in the setting with as much detail as possible.
- -
May NOT add more items in the setting after the initial post, nor may an opponent add or change anything stated. This means that if an Electrical device was not stated there was not one, if a roof were not stated it was slanted in the first post then it would be a straight horizontal roof.
- - May Move to another area to try and have a landscape benefit towards them but still must follow the first initial post rule.
- - May NOT attack in the first post upon entering a thread.
How do you judge which side is winning?(Official) Judgment on which side is winning is based on (in order of most to least important): 1. Creativity/Strategy. The original ideas and thoughts behind the post. 2. Description. How well you write up the attack. How well you define it, describe it and so forth. 3. Justification. How well you justify your attack and explain why it is valid. 4. Awareness. Taking into account character, attack and environmental aspects. 5. Respect. How you are behaving OOC to your opponent.
A lack of description, justification or awareness by one player can allow holes to be exploited if the other player uses a creative strategy. Important Note- If any action is stated OOC, such as person 1) states to person 2) "I will not attack you if you allow me into the thread" and then attacks the person. Dire consequences shall happen. If any situation happens in which a person lies OOC for IC gain the person who committed the crime shall have all actions voided, and character will automatically appear at the most non violent situation they were at last (Usually another Village), their character will feel not to go where they were before, and the user will have a 20% deduction of their money, with a 10% deduction of Training Points. How to Battle - [RP5] Movement System - BasicsFirst and foremost this is for battling. The Movement System in writing will be kept simple, and easy. The reasons why is because we do not want to stun the people, the role-players in Free Form Roleplaying. Instead the Movement system is indeed going to be there, it will play a part in grading battles, but it is not going to be the set in stone holier then though type of system. So, remember, Movement system is there, it is to help people visualize the limitations of attacks and capabilities but it is not there to be set in stone. Handseals - Handseals performed per roundA user may perform so many handseals within one round, the number of handseals increase by the class level that you are. Number of Handseals Per TechniqueD-6, C-12, B-18, A-24, S-30. Every technique has a set number of handseals in order to perform. D ranks have 6, C ranks have 12, B Ranks have 18, A ranks have 24, and S ranks have 30 handseals. This goes with All techniques, however some techniques do not follow these rules such as the Chidori, Rasengan, and Yamanaka techniques. The techniques that do not follow this rule are listed and stated. These are for special occasions. Handseals Reduction chartA user may perform so many handseals within one round, the number of handseals is reduced by the class level that you are as well as what Specialist you may be. When reducing you take the number and reduce it by what is stated. Example: If you can reduce, the amount of handseals by 1/3 and you are performing a D Rank technique you only need 4 handseals in order to perform the D Rank technique. For an S Rank technique and you have 1/2 reduction you only need 15 handseals in order to perform the technique. Movements Performed Per RoundA user is capable of so many movements per round. To define a movement it means to move away, hitting, punching, kicking, striking, picking up, opening, etc. Small things but movements nonetheless. Now comes the hard part, please remember that Jutsus and movements come hand to hand. Therefore, an S Class NinJutsu master can do 90 Handseals within 6 movements. Try to remember this because if you use up all handseals you have little to no movements. Try to keep things hand in hand. Because of this, it makes people think, it makes people wonder what they can and cannot do. It gives limitations yet it makes the person's mind work.
